Hello,

I have a setup consisting of :

- X570-E GAMING Wi-Fi II

- Ryzen 5900X

- 16G of 3200MT/s Corsair RAM

- EVGA 750W (should be G2, but I can't remember)

- XFX 6900XT MERC319 (stock confg, not overclocked)

I have an issue where on both Linux and Windows 11, under some GPU load, it will hardware crash (Windows event viewer report an unclean shutdown after that).

I can't bring it back without shutting off the PSU and back on again.

That crash seems to be intermittant :

- Uniengine Superposition in 4K optimized mode will crash on Windows but not on Linux, 1080p extreme will start but crash later on Windows

- Euro Truck Simulator 2 Promods will not crash (Windows)

- Fortnite will not crash (Windows)

- Furmark 2 VK will only crash if a CPU burner is applied alongside it, alone it will not crash.

- TF2 crashed on me on Linux.

----

I tried reseating the GPU, done a full 3 run MT86+ with no issues encountered.

HWINFO on Windows reports the GPU TGP being at the max 300W, CPU is around 150W, temps are in the 60s for both CPU and GPU.

How can I investigate this further to know if I need to switch MB, GPU or PSU?

A common way to troubleshoot hardware is to have spare parts, perhaps another pc that you can move the parts between to rule out each one.

If you don't have a spare pc you can ask a friend to help you with his/hers pc.
