I could use some help from someone that knows about DiskGenius more than I do.

I tested DiskGenius first time and made an image backup of a harddrive.

After it finished I noticed on the list of the partitions for that harddrive there was this text (Damaged), but only on one of the partitions.

I thought the harddrive itself were going bad but I checked the SMART info with CrystalDisk and no errors were found there. Did scans and nothing showed up.

Funny thing is when I clicked on that partition and refreshed (Reload current partition (F5)) the "Damaged" text disappeared beside the partition.

So I have no idea what's happening with DiskGenius. Aren't there any logfiles to see what it thinks is damaged?

Here's a screenshot showing what I mean, notice the (Damaged) next to the partition.

The SMART data however mentions no bad sectors.

What is damaged? If I refresh the partition, or just close the program and launch it again the (Damaged) message is not there anymore.

I've never used DiskGenius so can't help you with that.

What I can tell you is that S.M.A.R.T. does not check for file system or partition table corruptions,
so that might be what DiskGenius is trying to tell you is damaged.

Back up your data just to be safe, then run SFCCHKDSK.

Hmm

DiskGenius has a "Check Partition Table Error" under tools, but it returns with no errors found.

I did scans and a sfc /scannow but no errors there.

Thanks for the reply
