iPhone 11 screen replacement, touchscreen failed

Hello, so have an iPhone 11 and the touchscreen just hard quit on me. Had not noticed any issues prior, it just quit. The display is still functioning but it does not register any input. Will replacing the screen with an iFixit replacement fix the problem, or is there something else i should consider?

Surprising,

You should make a backup (you probably did or now you can't), I'd make one on my desktop.

Maybe it's only the connector that got loose inside the phone.

Also maybe I'd try to reset the phone first to be sure about the issue.

Well i have a backup of the phone, but for some reason I can't access my 2FA from the backup. I'm guessing it's because I didn't enable multi device access in Authy, which I didn't know was a button to press till now, and so my backup password doesn't work.

 

So yeah, basically I need to try and get this phone going. And then hopefully reassess my 2FA procedure.
