My first ever PC (kinda)

Hello all, I am planning to build my first ever PC, I already have a list of components but I figured it would be wiser to ask more experienced people

Budget:  1700 USD$ (Could go a 100 or so over)

Country: Qatar (wont matter much tbh) 

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming in general, I dont tend to stick to a single game I keep hopping between, but the games I frequent the most either GPU intensive games (Mostly story singleplayer or co-op) & CPU intensive games (Squad, Arma 3 & various grand strategy games). 

Other details: Current List (might notice that I dont like RGB stuff), I already have a mouse, headphones and 2 TB NVME SSD,  I still haven't picked a particular monitor (since I don't know much about them) but I am looking for a 1440p 120Hz minimum monitor that isnt that expensive (so no fancy stuff like OLED or MiniLed), I also still haven't picked a keyboard but I am looking for a good mechanical keyboard (MX red switches) that is 100$ or less (I have found the Montech MKey keyboard but I am still unsure). 

 

Oh and if someone could give me a guide to UPSes, how are they different from surge protectors, what matters when picking a UPS and so on I would really be grateful since looking online I dont seem to have found any good sources 

 

NOTE: For the monitor & case I will purchase them locally not from amazon/newegg since shipping prices for them would be kinda insane.

You chose a midrange micro ATX board,

(or the micro ATX https://pcpartpicker.com/product/qcbRsY/asrock-b650m-pro-rs-wifi-micro-atx-am5-motherboard-b650m-pro-rs-wifi)

 

Storage : for that price I'd rather get a 2TB drive, not sure which is the best choice, check the specs (you won't notice any real world difference)

For the motherboard I picked the wrong motherboard on PC Part picker for some reason, I am actually going to have the GIGABYTE B650 GAMING X AX, which is ATX, note that I don't really care for any features on the MB except that it has 2.5Gbps and 3 M.2 Slots (minimum)

 

As for the SSD, you are right thats a steep price, I am probably gonna get a WD Blue SN570 1TB for ~70$ locally
