I have some money to spend on my computer (~100) and I am not sure what to do with it. I think I might want to upgrade my graphics card (although i don't really need it much). I don't have a lot of storage but I have a lot of network storage so i don't really need more. I have a closed loop liquid cooler (even though I don't need it much) so cooling isn't an issue. What should i spend the money on? I have a friend who might want to buy my graphics card from me so if i do upgrade I would have ~220(usd) to spend on a graphics card. I want to sleeve my cables but i'm kinda lazy.

sell GPU and get 3GB r9 280 or r9 280x if you game at 1080p.

If you play monster old tech MMO's (ESO, guild wars...) a new CPU might benefit you more...but for that you should wait a bit intel is suppose to launch new CPU's soon..

a cheap CPU upgrade would be selling your i5 online and find an i5-2500K and overclock it...

aim for anything with 3GB of VRAM of more if you play at 1080p and want high ingame resolution for a while, watch dogs run at 3.05gb @1080p

Thanks. Should I get a 760 or a 280? If they are the same price does one preform better? I play a lot of modded skyrim and fallout. Would either be better for that? I am not planning on getting a new monitor soon so g/free sync won't be a factor for me. I might want to get a shield at some point but I'm not really sure that I will. Which would you recommend for me?

The 760 you are looking at is only 2GB?

both card performs really close but the 3GB of VRAM is a must have...some games prefers the GTX 760, some other the r9 280m they trade blows in terms of raw processing power.

The AMD card will allow to use mantle, nvidia has shadowplay (not mention physics this is crap it won't do anything)

I was thinking one of the 4GB versions like this one because i have a second monitor (1440x900) so even more than 3GB would be good http://pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-video-card-n760tf4gd5oc

check reputable benchmarks and reviews for the games you play the most see how wich card perform in the games youre most interested to play if you want to make a good decision,

this could be a good place to start with, remember the r9 280 and HD7950 are the same GPU:

From the information i gathered they perform really close..will you record some gaming? will you play BF4?
