WD Green drives are energy saving drives with a rotational speed of 5,900rpm and the Black drives are the performance drives.

Anyway to answer your question and if it was me I'd get a more powerful GPU :)

^

Greens are also pretty quiet and blacks can be loud at times.

If you're going to put off getting a ssd for a extended period of time by going with the 280x, get the 270x instead. A ssd makes a world of difference and is pretty essential for any modern system.

Im not going to get an SSD for about half a year, which is ok by me, but the the graphics difference matters more to then load and boot speed.I'd rather wait a minute to boot the computer and another one to load up the games, and get the extra FPS.

Is there a Green drive what runs at 7200rpm? Cause the site where I'm planning to buy it says 7200.And is the difference between Black and Green is mayor?

7,200? Mmm maybe they are the new ones then, I always thought they ran at 5,900rpm and the difference between Green and Black is quite major I think, between Blue and Black is pretty minor as far as I know.

Getting a ssd is not about how quickly you can boot into your OS. That's more of a bonus/party trick than anything else. It's about making the entire system more snappy and smooth to work with.

Yes but they have a bad reputation for reliability. If you want a 7200rpm consumer drive, check out the WD Blue or the slightly faster Seagate Barracuda.

So you think I'd better go with a Blue?

I would personally, they are cheaper and quieter than Black drives.

Ok, but I think untill this point I was fine without and SSD.Another 7-8 months should be no problem I think.

What about WD Red?How is it different from the others?

Have you used a ssd?

WD Reds are optimized for NAS with higher reliability than standard drives and lower power consumption. They're about as fast as greens.

Not really. So I'll dont ge a Red, I have nothing to do with NAS! :D

My problem is its only around a 100$ to upgrade with an SSD later on, but much more for the GPU.

It's hard to envision what it's like using a ssd until you use one. It makes a world of difference and a more powerful gpu doesn't really compare unless all you care is about gaming performance.

Gaming performance is my No1 priority with this build, so...yeah.

I wasn't referring to order or priorities. I meant it's only comparable if you cared about gaming performance and nothing else.
