Hi everyone. I have a Dell Vostro 1015 (specs in attached file). It has 2 memory slots, one of them has a TwinMos 2GB dimm in it. The other slot is empty. The laptop gets very slow when running 4-5 programs so I want to get an identical 2GB dimm. However, I am not sure what details should I compare to get an identical one. Furthermore, CPU-Z shows RAM frequecy as 333 MHz, the sticker on the dimm says 666 Mhz and the laptop's online service manual says 800 MHz. Which should I take as true and is there any thing else to keep in mind when buying the new dimm? Thanks.

The 333Mhz is correct but remember that DDR = Double Data Rate so you double the speed which gives you the effective frequency of 667MHz.

Have a look on eBay for some DDR2 SODIMM's and one more thing, when you have these programs open and the laptop slows down, have you gone into task manager to make sure that it is actually the RAM causing the problem (problem being not enough RAM).

Looking at your CPU I would bare in mind that it isn't a very fast CPU.
