0x0000124 usually indicates a hardware error [1].  If, as you say, you have just got the system refer it back to the manufacturer for a within warranty repair.

There are some trouble shooting steps (update drivers, ensure adequate cooling, remove overclock etc.) but if system has never worked properly refer it back to the assembler.

[1] Occasionaly there will be a false positive were a piece of hardware isn't in distress but Windows 'thinks' it is.  AFAIK this hasn't been reported on 7 though.

EDIT :- I don't know how amenable the assemblers are to warranty repairs/replacements.  Phone them first to see what they suggest they may well say update the drivers.

(probably no significant difference but do as they say may avoid postage/carriage costs).

Any cooling issues, overclock (unless you did it yourself) is up to them but they may say "remove X and all should be hunky dory" (if you feel confident do that as opposed to POSSIBLY getting stung for postage costs).

A lot of costs will depend on if it is a return to base warranty or an on-site one.

It's a 'sore one' but in a year or so you will laugh, chin up and best of luck.
