This is what I have come up with, I was originally planning to go with the Fractal Design Define R4 but I like the look of the Arc Midi, unfortunately the Arc Midi costs more that the Arc Midi R2 on Amazon so I changed it to the R2.

  • Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core
  • Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
  • MSI Z77A-G45
  • G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600
  • XFX Radeon HD 7950 3GB
  • Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 (Black)
  • XFX 550W ATX12V

Any response would be much appreciated.

Seems pretty nice build.

Thanks for the response, my only other thought was going with an AMD processor to save money but I couldn't find a motherboard for one that also had PCIe 3.0 not that it really mattered as apparently most graphics cards are backwards compatible but I don't really understand it.

There are a lot of motherboards for AMD CPUs that have PCI 3.0 slots. I can help you find one if you want to switch to AMD but i think you'd better stick with the i5 3570k.

Sorry if my English is not perfect, but it isn't my native language :)

Alright I will stick with the i5 3570k, thanks for the response and the offer though :)

Looks good to me, the MB has 15% off at the moment.

Not that I can afford but where from?

Good so far. I highly recommend sticking in an ssd if you can afford it. The samsung 840 is a good choice.

Solid build, good cost to performance parts, can't go wrong really. Though I would like to note as you mentioned that even PCI-e 2.0 8x has enough bandwidth for that card, let alone PCI-e 2.0 16x.

Ah, I see, thanks.
