Is this console setup worth it?

Budget (including currency): $800

Country: U.S.A.

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Fortnite, Warzone (Maybe), Minecraft, Etc.

Other details: I already have the part list, I just wanna know if this would be worth it. I am prioritizing portability AND power, so I though this was a good console setup for that.

For a grand you might as well wanna just build a PC with a 24 inch display instead of that puny 11.6 inch tablet ass display, you know, lol 🙂.

Do you meant to play on Xbox or are you settling? Where are most of your friends play on?

I do want to play on Xbox, as most of my friends play on Xbox to, but I would be open to something more portable that can play those games, at better performance

If you mainly play these titles, theyre all perfectly crossplayed with PC, so i personally would also recommend gaming laptop instead, not because of biases but actual functional value. You can stick an xbox controller into a PC and have the same control, but after that you can also use it for other computing tasks that you could do with an actual windows PC instead of under the limited Xbox OS. YMMV on the for sale side of gaming laptop, just make sure youre not buying a general lemon is all i got. Jarrod's Tech and TechTeamGB generally makes decent gaming laptop reviews.

But if you really wanna stubbornly stick to xbox, i wouldnt bother with these screen accessory and get myself a proper portable monitor that can fit the width and a short HDMI cable. Not only because the market choice is bigger, but if you break your portable monitor, you wouldnt be down on the whole assembly, just the screen. Something like Thinkvision M14 is only $170, vs your initial screen for $255.

what other screen would you suggest? any 1440p 120Hz ones under $250? even if its 120Hz but still 1080p that's fine. Would prefer 1440p though.

I got rid of some things that were unnecessary or more expensive than they need to be. Here it is:

Yeah, this makes a bit more sense. But yeah im not the best in talking about the state of portable monitor right now, i usually deal with 1080p competitive monitor.

not horrible, the 3050 is shit, but it's likely better than an xbox, and if that ram is the right one for the laptop, don't get that laptop, cl 46 is horrible, your spot on with the idea of upgrading to 24gb though. Good choice on the mouse

Nitro V is a sadly built piece of work, i really put it in avoid even on sale. Especially when Legion 5 and Asus TUF A and F line exists at that sub 1 grand line.
