Louis responded to a comment that said if Linus never reads superchats, why doesn't Linus just disable superchats? Linus has said he doesn't because they appear broken to him. But doesn't do anything like a pinned message in chat indicating they don't read superchats.

Louis says there might be new subscribers who don't know that Linus doesn't read superchats, and sends them expecting Linus to respond to them.

Linus's excuse is that if someone wants to send a superchat, let them. This is fine if you are aware of it. Except what about those who don't know that Linus will not respond to them? Is it fair to them?

Linus does mention during every wanshow to use merch messages instead of superchats. But that is part way through the live stream, after some superchats have been sent.
