Im looking in the socond hand market for an iphone. And im stuck on 2 options at around the same price

Option 1 - Iphone 12 128gb 84% battery health 

Option 2 - Iphone 12 pro 256gb 78% battery health

Well, if the battery doesn't last for too long, you can just replace the battery (don't send to apple because they are too expensive). However, 78 percent battery life shouldnt be that big of a difference compared to 84 percent, so i'd say get the pro. unless you really don't like charging your phone.

I only buy pro models of iPhones. Generally speaking a pro model is not far off of the base model of one generation newer. For example the 12 pro is pretty similar to the 13. If you are on the newest generation and don’t want to get the pro version of that it is generally more cost effective to get the pro of the previous model.

 

Replacing the battery on an iPhone isn’t that hard or overly difficult in my opinion. Ifixit has plenty of guides on this.

Don't buy because of the battery - it has to be changed on both, just one is more urgent than the other, so put it into the cal, since prices might vary.

 

Storage and extra camera might be the main difference - they are personal. Don't care for telescopic and don't shoot many videos - 12.

 

If I'm not mistaken, battery might be slightly better on the Pro, but you have to ggl
