DDR3 and DDR4 mix query for iMac 2019 - Retina5K, 27 inch

Hi Guys, I have some 2 x DDR3 RAM modules, can I install them in my 2019 iMac?

 

Hardware:

OLD machine RAM: elpida 4gb 2rx8 pc3-12800s-11-10-f3
What I want to install with: Micron 4ATF51264HZ-2G6E3 4GB DDR4 2667 MHz

 

Dont want to eff-up my machine, hence the question.

 

The picture is from the internet and not mine, its just showing the exact make and model of ram.

No. You cannot even slot DDR3 into DDR4 slots.

You cannot install DDR3 and DDR4 at the same time. The stick wouldn't even physically fit in the same slot.

 

There were a few motherboards back in the day that allowed either DDR3 or DDR4 to be installed on the same board, but never at the same time.

No. They aren't compatible in any way imaginable.

English is not my first language, so please excuse any confusion or misunderstandings on my end.

RAM: 16 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3-1600

GPU 1: RTX 2070 Super

GPU 2: GTX 1060 3GB

PSU: Gigabyte P450B EVGA 600BR EVGA 750BR

OS: Windows 11 Home

 

Linux let me down.
