1440P Monitor Undecided

3llyas

So I have been looking for a 27" 1440P (QHD) Monitor and these two are the ones I found which are right around my budget, but I can't choose between one of them:

Both of the monitors are IPS.

What do you think and any suggestions?

EDIT : Found an in-depth review for the Viewsonic, though I am too dumb and need a layman's term and a TLDR. Couldn't find an in-depth one on the Acer though

No, IPS an VN panels are LCD and require a backlight behind the panel itself. An LED panel, each pixel emits it's own light. This is why in the case of OLED, they boast about the black levels because the pixels themselves actually turn off. You will get better picture quality over the IPS with LED but you lose the response time. So if you're playing competitive shooters you may want the ViewSonic. If you prefer an overall better experience in more casual and story driven games then the Acer would be the way to go.

Yeaa I know that, what I meant is that the Acer monitor is an IPS panel and not an LED(OLED) panel.

No, it better be an LED monitor. If it isn't then that's some really bad false advertising.

The product page makes it pretty clear it's an LED-backlit LCD (IPS-type).

LED-backlit monitors have been commonly labeled as "LED monitors" for over a decade.

I would choose the ViewSonic monitor because it's better-designed for serious, professional gaming and it has DisplayPort 1.4.

I would choose the Acer monitor if... uh, I really care about the built-in USB ports.
