Windows 11 on an external SSD boot problems

MiszS

I have installed windows 11 on an external 2.5" ssd for gaming, but it's pretty buggy, because it doesn't work through the adaptor (which works just fine otherwise), and only if i connect it to my computer's SATA port. But even when it does work, i have to reboot a few times, and i get the "INNACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE" error every time. My question is if this is normal, and will windows 11 portable made with rufus fix this?

10 at least needed a registry "hack" (editing) I believe.

Rufus should be able to make USB bootable 11

I'm not an expert, perhaps been lucky with installing 10/11 on USB and having that OS bootable.

I edit my posts more often than not
