Found 4080 super for msrp bought it. just arrived today, and of course it needs 3 8 pin and not 2 which would of been a super easy plug and play upgrading from gtx 1080 but nooo the 5 year psu i got of course stupid parents just decided to throw the box away cause why would you ever need a psu box with cables in it still...

The fact you can buy a $1000 GPU, while living at home in early high school is not something to take lightly.

 

Call your PSU manufacturer and get another cable, which you knew it was going to need anyway.

ok and? This sounds like a you problem for not ensuring you had the proper cables you needed for a GPU you bought. Its easy enough to do a quick search on the specific model of card you bought to ensure you can support it.

so both of you can't read of course i knew what it needed said they threw out the box of cables i had and didn't notice until i got the card today and went to look for it smfh.
