I am new to pc building so i am no 100% sure what i am doing. i just want your opinion on my build like what to change.

My pc will have the following parts.

 

mobo - ASUS x79 deluxe

gpu - msi r9 290x lightning

power supply - rosewill tachyon 1000w

cpu - intel core 17 3930k sandy bridge

ram - g.skill ripjays z series 32gb 4x8gb

cpu cooler - thermaltake NiC c4 clp0607

Don't really like the cooler and you don't need 32gb of ram at all, 8gbs would be fine for gaming. Would go for a 4770k instead of the 3930k if you want an I7. Which you won't if you are not doing a lot of rendering or video editing.

my budget is 3000 to 4000 atm. idk what u mean by location and use is for programming and gaming. thank you for the quick response. :)

its not needed your pretty much wasing another $100-$200 then

Could always splash out on a 780ti if your behind budget by that much

The CPU cooling is what i would change but just because i like water cooling.

A water-cooled mid-tier gaming PC.
