Seems pretty cohesive to me from other similarly-specced builds I've seen around here.

You might want to go for a motherboard with built-in WiFi instead of a dedicated card, overall pricing is similar and you do free up the slot.

If you're already considering upgrading to a 244Hz display, why not buy it right now instead?

I've gotten to know some stuff, but am far from omniscient, so don't take my advice as gospel and wait for other opinions - I just like throwing in my two cents when I can.

I can't see any cuts to your build other than the cpu.

Then just save up a bit more before buying.

Unless you already have a second-life use case for the 180Hz display, buying one then the other will just result in wasted money.

I guess you can save some costs by reselling it, but that's still wasted value if you're considering upgrading before even starting building.

If you drop down to a 5600 and make some other budget cuts you can get fairly close

https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/hjcVPF

Or you could drop down? (More of a side grade) to a 1440p 180hz monitor and be at the same price point as your other build https://au.pcpartpicker.com/product/kqJp99/viewsonic-omni-vx2728-2k-180hz-270-2560-x-1440-180-hz-monitor-vx2728-2k-180hz

PS: never would I have thought the 4060 to be unironically the best value

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

I'll rephrase then.

Would you keep using the 180Hz monitor after upgrading to the 244Hz one? Maybe as a secondary display, or for another rig in the house?

If not, then there's little point in getting it now rather than save a bit longer and get a better one.
