if that says "7000 series processor," then it should be an am5 cpu and should be compatible with the motherboard

It does say it's a 7000 series processor. And on the motherboard box it says "Socket AM5" so I was confused

and then this (https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B650-AORUS-ELITE-AX-ICE/support#support-cpu) is just for confirmation but yes, it is most definitely supported. that's the cpu support list.
