Hello,

Since a couple of days my PC is really slow in opening programs (like Chrome).

If I click on the icon in my taskbar it takes around 30 to 40sec to open,

after that it takes another 20sec before I can use my browser..

When I want to go to a new site it also takes ages (got a internet speed of 120down/10up),

but when I am on the page I can do everything without any problems...

Anybody knows what it could be ?

I did a virus scan, and nothing showed up.

Hope anybody can help me (:

first i would check the windows task manager and go to processes and check ,if any programs are using a high amount of  cpu  or memory

 scanning  for viruses. was good

did you run .something like this. http://www.malwarebytes.org/

then i would update the video drivers.

http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/auto_detect.aspx for ati cards

http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us for nvidia  cards

by the way great speed.

Check to see how much memory your system is using up or if your CPU is being pinned at almost full load constantly even at idle. How much RAM do you have in your system?
