Yeah, the the i5 refresh instead. Saves some money with a minute amount of performance loss.

Would I be better with the 4670k and a z87 board, and over clock a little?

It seems reasonable, especially if a z87 board is cheaper.

The Maximus 6 gene. I was looking at the the gryphon and other ones but they arent being sold anymore. Due to z97
