Hello! Soon, I'm going to build a mid-high end build in a week or so. This PC is just to create medium-tier content and play Minecraft in 1440p/4k RTX/Shaders (higher shaders heehee)

The current PCPartPicker List (controversial so not posting it) consists of a 13700k and a 4080 super.

Is there any other CPU below 550USD that would work better for Minecraft FPS?

why is it controversial?

It could very muc hbe beneficial for us to take a look at your part list, also a 13th gen i7-K processor and 4080 Super is very much high end, not mid-high

System specs:

CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D [-30 PBO all core]

GPU: Sapphire AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX NITRO+

Motherboard: MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI

RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO RGB 32GB 6000MHz CL32 DDR5

Storage: 2TB SN850X, 1TB SN850 w/ heatsink, 500GB P5 Plus (OS Storage)

Case: 5000D AIRFLOW

Cooler: Thermalright Frost Commander 140

PSU: Corsair RM850e

Case Fans: Fractal Prisma (120 x6, 140 x3) + 2x40mm fans

I'd like to consider the cooler is a Kraken Elite 360 RGB and not watercooled, and the cooler is a "terrible" choice.
And, it's not using multiple 4090s.

14700k(f)

youll probably wanna disable the ecores and get a 360/420 aio for it like the liquid freezer iii so you can run >5.5ghz allcore and probably around 6ghz singlecore

also get some 6400c32 rams minimum cause hynix a die based which is 10000+ capable so if you want some extra performance in the future or wanna carry your kit over to a new platform you simply tune it, 13th/14th gen should be able to do anywhere from 7600-8800 depending on the imc, if you intend on tuning rams immideately you can save abit of cash with some teamgroup 5600c46 rams since those are also hynix a die based

I get your choices and the white aesthetic is nice, but instead of the slightly pricier parts i can keep the white theme, get parts with the same performance, mobo, ram etc and id say we could slot in a 4090 there. The kraken is a very expensive cooler for its performance, a 360 Freezer 3 as @Somerandomtechyboi will be much cheaper and better performing.

The 4x16gb ram is a bad choice as DDR5 will be massively slower running with 4 sticks instead of 2 and may not even run at all on higher frequencies, and also is more expensive.

Better RAM

360mm AIO thats higher performing and almost 1/3 the price, but if you really like the kraken, thats up to you

14700KF instead of 13700K

SLi or NVLink has been a long enough dead technology, you basically get nothing in return for running a multi GPU setup, a 4090 is honestly beyond a traditional tier high end as its such awful price to performance. a 4080S is very much high end, id consider anything over $1500 high end never mind coming close to $3500. Mid tier would be 2060S/3060/6600XT level, mid-high 7700xt or 3070/3080, high tier starts at around 4070/7800xt for gpus anyway and imo, could be arguable higher or lower for every tier

liquid freezer iii outperforms that overpriced kraken

doubled the storage, yes that t700 is just uneccesary asf and youd be better off with another vortex redline 4tb then spend the rest of the money direct die cooling the cpu

white 1000w psu cause it makes no sense to get a black one in a snow white build

if you ditch the aesthetics a 4090 will fit in the budget alongside a better board like the z790 aorus master, not to mention maybe even direct die cooling with a custom loop for more oc headroom
