I was tampering with an Inspiron 3647 and tried to remove the fan shroud. I watched both the official documentatikn and some YouTube videos to try and remove it. In the process, I accidently broke 2 clips on the opposite sides. I put everything back without the fan shroud and it booted as normal.

The CPU is a Intel i5 4th gen super. I tried searching for cpu fan shroud on amazon but could not find any.

Can I use the computer without the fan shroud? By how much will the CPU temps be effected?

Hard to say, I'd suspect it would make a fair of a difference as Dell tend to design around less fans with the ducting to compensate.

Can you perhaps just duct tape it in place?  Of course there's also eBay.
