A few days ago the power extension lead my PC's connected to blew. The PC wasn't on and there was only 1 other device plugged into the lead, which still works fine.

Since then my PC won't boot, I can get the motherboard splash screen and into BIOS but after that the screen goes black and i can't get it any further

I pulled the SSD and the partition is corrupted, tried reinstalling Windows to a new partition. Got through the installation and logged into my Microsoft account fine but when the system needed to reboot it again won't get past the splash screen. Bought a new SSD in case that was the problem, went the same way. Windows installed fine but same happened again Windows won't boot. A couple of times I've gotten to the

Windows recovery screen but nothing i do can get it further. The motherboard has diagnostic LEDs but non of them are lit.

Tried flashing the BIOS, made no change. My next step is replacing the motherboard but thought I'd post here in case anyone else had an idea of what the problem is.
