VM gpu passthrough

I want to make a virtual machine with gpu passthrough in VMware, but when i google it, guides for VMware esxi show up, is there a way to do that in the regular VMware workstation, or virtual box?

Based on this post, VMWare Workstation does not support it:

You should be able to do it with KVM/Qemu:

well i tried that, and i'm stuck on the enable iommu thing, because i have some shitty prebuilt, that's missing like 90% of bios options
