New Motherboard and CPU, New Windows Install?

foxbill86

Hi! I am going to transfer my SSD to a new CPU and Motherboard next next week. So my current setup right now is a Ryzen 5 5500, 32GB (2X16) and a MSI A320M Pro Mobo. And going to upgrade to a Ryzen 7 5700x3d and a B550M PRO 4 Mobo, I will reuse the ram.

I saw some videos on the internet that its fine to just stick the shit out of it and it will work fine, and I saw some threads in google that it is better to install. I am confused on what should what. Thanks in advance!

Both CPU are same brand same gen, I think you can use the SSD as is

I didn't reinstall when I upgraded from a 3900X to a 5900X, had no issues since (2 years ago!)

Don't forget to upgrade BIOS and reinstall chipset drivers tho

I dont usually build PC with these problems, will it like automatically recognize the windows when I install my old SSD?
