GTX 760 Question

NInety

How do these cards perform in SLI? Are there any problems? If so, what are they?

I think they perform around the same or better than a 780 ti. Forgeting about vram limitation in 2GB cards and scaling issues.

Spoiler

Corsair 400C- Intel i7 6700- Gigabyte Gaming 6- GTX 1080 Founders Ed. - Intel 530 120GB + 2xWD 1TB + Adata 610 256GB- 16GB 2400MHz G.Skill- Evga G2 650 PSU- Corsair H110- ASUS PB278Q- Dell u2412m- Logitech G710+ - Logitech g700 - Sennheiser PC350 SE/598se

Is it just me or is Grammar slowly becoming extinct on LTT?

no problems, but for their price, i would get a 780

the in SLI 760 will beat the 780 in most games, but some games where scaling isnt that good, you will have a pretty big performance hit.

also, VRAM is pretty limited if youre gonna be playing at 1440p

^^ What @NuroKnight said. Pretty much close to a 780. You might encounter the generic issues with SLI. Like improper scaling in games to no SLI support. Varies game to game, but most modern games do work fairly smoothly with SLI.

Two graphics cards does look pretty baller though, especially if you've got a 1-slot gap between them. The EVGA and MSI cards look awesome in SLI :D

yeh it does. but its still pretty dumb to buy 2 gpus when you could get one for a similar price and similar performance.

They will take on and possibly beat a 780ti depending on the circumstances.

As a 760 SLI owner, I agree with this. The 760 SLI works well in games that have solid SLI profile already built for them, but they require tweaking for those that do not have good or any SLI profiles (ie alphas like DayZ - not that any card is running great in that game).

If I could do it again I would have bought a 780 right off the bat, then probably put another in for SLI. Ya know, because dual cards look sweet. Then liquid cool for fun performance tweaking.

Never say it's not broken. Everything is broken. Why? Because everything needs MOAR POWA!
