Why are Microcenter cpu's always on sale?

I've been looking on microcenter for some parts, and ive always noticed that their cpus are basically on sale forever. Is this the same at other stores or is it just this one which is at Tustin CA? For example, both the ryzen 5 3600 and 5600x are both $50 off, and even the ryzen 7 7700x is $120 off! This has been going on for 3 months!

Microcenter makes most of their money off of software and services is my understanding when it comes to computer hardware. I bet this is why.

They use it as a tool to get customers into the store. When they come in to buy a CPU, 99 times out of 100, they buy other things that will net profit vs the loss they're taking on the CPU price.

Alos, their purchasing department has deals to move a certain volume allowing them to get very good bulk pricing.

 

Don't forget that MC is a sum of all it's stores, and moves more CPU's than probably any other single boxed retailer.

As a former Microcenter employee, their goal is to push software (ESET, NordVPN, and Office365 / Microsoft keys), services (such as them building your PC), and warranty plans (1 or 2 year on each parts or if you get a whole PC build, you can get a build warranty). It also is the reason why microcenter, at least at ours, will never have a self checkout. They want to entice you to buy something else alongside the CPU bundle using either the cashiers or the sales floor people. The bundle is just a way to get you in the store to get you to get more than just the CPU bundle.
