For starters NAS implies Network, neither console can store games over a network.

The PS5 can be expanded with an NVME drive, the PS4,PS5, Xbox can be expanded with external USB drives.  They use their own proprietary formats so require one USB drive for Xbox, one for Playstation.

Router:  Intel N100 (pfSense) WiFi6: Zyxel NWA210AX (1.7Gbit peak at 160Mhz)
WiFi5: Ubiquiti NanoHD OpenWRT (~500Mbit at 80Mhz) Switches: Netgear MS510TXUP, MS510TXPP, GS110EMX
ISPs: Zen Full Fibre 900 (~930Mbit down, 115Mbit up) + Three 5G (~800Mbit down, 115Mbit up)

Also Xbox Series demand you use their own proprietary expansion cards for most of their "Series Enhanced" games, where USB will only work for backups (you can move Series games onto it but must move it back to internal storage or their cards to play) or Xbox Backwards Compatible games.
