Malformed line

So I just got debian 12 on a laptop and I was working on getting it set up for someone, but when I try and type a line in that I know works with other systems, it says Malformed line 3 in source list /ect/apt.sources.list.d/docker.list (type)... Does anybody have a fix for this? Thanks!

Not without you showing us what that line looks like… if it says malformed, something about it must be off

Show the output of

cat /etc/apt.sources.list.d/docker.list

(I assume /ect instead of /etc was just a typo in the post above…)

I got the problem worked out, just an error with the docker file
