Please help, after putting together my new computer getting it fully up and running doing all kinds of updates including a bios update I shut it down and installed a couple of old drives then it wouldn't post all the lights and fans went on there were beeps no flashing warning light, after now removing my old drives and setting it back to exactly what it was before it still won't post. Any ideas?

Remove the CMOS battery ( Silver round battery on the motherboard ) for 5 minutes, put it back in and try again.

The cmos battery is proving quite stubborn to remove, don't wanna hurt anything any thoughts?

There are 2 small pins like in this picture ( this is your motherboard )

Use a screwdriver and touch both at the same time, this will clear the CMOS in the way removing the battery will.

Doing this will reset all changes made in the BIOS  ( Not BIOS versions ).

Try this.

So after cmos battery reset it still won't post, and after giving up and going back to my old system it also won't post.
