Wanna get some input on this issue.

My system was working fine, I shut it down one night then the next day I get a DRAM indicator and the PC won't boot

I reseated the RAM, tried single stick, different slots etc. Reseated the CPU. Removed the CMOS battery still no dice, getting that DRAM error. Had some dust due to woodwork in my room so did a tear down and cleaned up the system to see if dust maybe got in the slots. Cleaned the RAM and everything else during the teardown. Rebuilt and still the DRAM error.

System powers up, RGB turns on then shuts off. Fans continue spinning and RGB can be turnt on via the case I/O.  RGB on RAM stays on.

Is there any fix I can try again or do I just have to assume either my RAM or Motherboard is dead?

is your RAM by any chance DDR5?

Ryzen 5 5600 |16GB DDR4 3200Mhz | B450 | GTX 1080 ti [further details on my profile]

PC configs I used before:

  1. Pentium G4500 | 4GB/8GB DDR4 2133Mhz | H110 | GTX 1050
  2. Ryzen 3 1200 3,5Ghz / OC:4Ghz | 8GB DDR4 2133Mhz / 16GB 3200Mhz | B450 | GTX 1050

What are the full system specs, especially the CPU, motherboard, and RAM (specific model number)?

I'd say it could be just DDR5 RAM training being wonky, and letting it sit in default RAM position for few minutes is worth a try, no?

Not likely. DDR5 training is wonky, but not this wonky. Besides, we don't know that their system is DDR5, so getting to know what their full specs are is kinda necessary.

Damn.. and i thought you had a liquor problem... in norwegian  DRAM= shot of liquor.. i would say go proof.. 😄 you will get memory problems after a while tho... 😄

anyway.. back to pesky DDR5 DRAM... have you tried both sticks single?. in every slot?
