So I just bought new pc with this parts

Motherboard: asus tuf b650-plus

GPU: asus tuf rtx 4080 factory Factory Recertified

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7900X

RAM: kingston ddr 5 2x16gb

SSD: samsung m2 1tb

PSU: MSI MPG 1000W PCIE5

And gpu is not detecting, rgb is glowing on it but nothing more, when I plug hdmi cable to a motherboard its showing everything, and gpu is nowhere to be found. I've replaced it with 3080 (also Factory Recertified) and it worked fine, but 4080 is not detecting anyway. I've updated the bios and tried to install drivers for 4080 but its not working because system does not see the 4080 and says there is no compatibility or something. Is there a chance to fix it or should I just return the gpu

If you have another PC you can test the 4080 in that. If you don't have one, or you do and it also doesn't work in that one, then you just have to return it. It's not worth trying to remove the cooler and look at the board when you have both a spare GPU and a warranty.

Are you using a native 1:1 12VHPWR or the included adapter? I imagine you're going with the native 1:1, which might be your problem, so try the adapter.

I'm using 16pin which was included with a psu, its 16pin both ways like on the image below. And I dont have any adapters with me. There was also a cable with 16pin which goes into psu and giving two 6+2 for gpu and it worked for 308016pin(12+4) Pcie 5.0 Gpu Cable Dual 8pin Male To Atx 3.0 16pin 12vhpwr Graphics Card Cable For Psu | Fruugo NO

I'd try using either combination, the internally adapted cable or the included adapter that should've come with your RTX 4080.

The 1:1 12VHPWR cable can be problematic. Other than people not seating the thing properly, I've seen the most problems with it, including POSTing issues.

Adapter was not included because its factory recertified gpu, so only gpu in the box. Also I dont like the ide of using different cable that did not come with the psu. Anyway is there a adapter that you recommend for buying ?

Is this adapter is like 2x8pin into psu and 16pin to gpu?

Yes, its functionally an internally adapted cable from 2x8pin to 16pin aka 12VHPWR. It'll usually only use two sense pins like the picture you showed earlier.

Otherwise, your GPU should've came with a 2-3x8pin to 12VHPWR adapter with female 8pin connectors. PSUs that support the 2x8pin to 12VHPWR cables can handle 300W through each 8pin into the PSU, most PSUs are that case now a days. Why they can run only 2x8pin for full 600W 12VHPWR.

Turns out gpu work fine when I boot pc while the case is laying horizontally, then when I put case in vertical position (as it should be) gpu continues to work, and works fine under stress tests like fur mark and occt. But it just wont detect if I boot the pc when case is in vertical position from the start. It does not matter if I screw gpu to the case or use gpu support or not it just wont detect. Does not matter if I wiggle it while it is not screwed, just nothing works and its so weird. When I tested with 3080 it was good in all positions
