The list price is €120 euros and the seller won't go lower than €100. Is this a reasonable price to pay for a 580?

Going off US pricing, not really. These cards go for ~$60-80 and aren't really worth spending any more than that on them, as by the time you hit ~$100, you're in GTX 1070 territory and will be much better off.

That said, a lot of this will come down to your area and what you have available to you. If you live in the middle of nowhere and don't have a lot of options for GPUs, this might just be the only choice you have, and therefore it doesn't really matter what the other parts of the world pay for stuff if they're not options to you.

I'm helping my friend upgrade his PC on the cheap. I advised him to buy an RX 580 as it offers a good amount of VRAM which would be useful for modern games. After looking on eBay and classified sites, we found one. The list price is €120 euros and the seller won't go lower than €100. Is this a reasonable price to pay for a 580? I was thinking more in the 60 - 80 euros range.

Thanks

That's what I was thinking. I live in Ireland where stuff Is a bit more expensive but not to that degree. I think we'll try and talk him down a bit or move on to another listing or GPU. Thanks!

That seems quite high, especially considering that you can get """"new"""" RX 580 cards for cheaper than that on AliExpress. They're currently going for about 70€ it looks like.

Yeah I totally agree. I think we're going to try talk him down a bit or move on to a different listing or maybe just buy a GTX 1070 at that price. Thanks!
