Recommendations for a set-top box

I'm on the hunt for a unicorn of a set-top box, something with essentially all the same features of an Nvidia shield but can also play 4k bluray discs

I've thought of using an itx pc for the job but I'm unsure of the best software/os solution to go with if I go down that road, let alone how I would go about using a remote for it

I'd love to hear any suggestions from you guys

Most blu-ray players have some built in apps, but if you're looking for all the features of an Shield in a blu-ray player, doesn't really exist. What you're looking for is... a blu-ray player and an nvidia shield.

I rip all my discs as full ISOs so I can enjoy any special features. It seems all the current devices that can do such things are running Android underneath. I have a Zidoo unit that does all I need it to playing ISOs off my NAS. It can do about 95% of my ISOs without a problem. Dune is another brand that sells pretty much the same box but the Zidoo seems to have better support (currently).
