Hello,

Recently I've been looking on windows 11 and my tpm is turning off and on irregularly. I looked on my motherboards website and clearly states "Change default status of AMD PSP fTPM to Enabled for addressing basic Windows 11 requirements (https://support.microsoft.com/windows/1fd5a332-360d-4f46-a1e7-ae6b0c90645c)". Now I'm really not a person who understands bios updates, however I know how to use the bios ... typical. Now I have a 2nd gen processor and one of the updates says "update AMD AGESA ComboV2 1.2.0.3 B for Ryzen 5000 G-Series processors support". It will still support my ryzen 7 2700x after the update right? I also want to install a new bios because mine is 4 years old. 😂😂

Any help is greatly appreciated,

Thank you!

Almost certainly, motherboards rarely remove support for old CPUs when doing BIOS updates. If you want to be certain, look on the previous updates to see if it says something along the lines of "Remove support of AMD Bristol Ridge series APU" (the APUs were the ones that were usually lost support for with BIOS updates on older boards), where you want to make sure it didn't remove support for Pinnacle Ridge.

You can update to the latest BIOS, and retain support for your 2700X. It's just adding support for the 5000 series, amongst other things.
