S23 or S23 FE

Hi, having a problem of choosing between these two. I want to get a new phone, looking for a Samsung because i like the UI very much. It came down to the S23 or the S23 FE. Price difference between the phones is around 100eur, or 110USD (FE being cheaper). Keep in mind in EU i get Exynos with the FE and the S23 gets the Snapdragon. I don't do gaming with my phone, i do work, i also take pictures and videos so i need good quality camera. Which one would you recommend considering the price difference, and chipset difference. Thanks

S23. SD is just a better chip.

You might be thinking that the S23 FE is a cheaper S23. Don't be fooled. Here are the major differences:

  • The FE is significantly larger and heavier
  • Larger means more screen yes? True, but not by much. It loses quite a bit of screen space to much thicker bezels
  • The FE has a higher capacity battery, yet falls far behind the S23 in endurance
  • The Exynos 2200 of the FE does not compete with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 of the S23. It competes with the 8 Gen 1 of the previous series.
  • The FE uses inferior cameras. All 4 of them. The telephoto camera uses an 8MP sensor.
  • The FE uses inferior optical fingerprint reader. It is also positioned very low for the size of the device

The S23 FE is also inferior to the S22 series in most of these aspects.

 

Pretty damning if you ask me

 

I won't be here to hold your hand the next time you get a new phone
