so I partitioned my 256 gb ssd into 2 volumes, 1 80 gig volume (primary for windows 11) and another 158 gig volume (also primary in win 11 installation screen) and now when I boot into the laptop only the 80 gig volume is shown. I went to disk initializer and then formatted the 158 gig volume from RAW to NTFS, still it doesn't show up.

even more than that, I'm trying to get out of S mode without signing in, so I have to follow this video. unfortunately, after going into advanced startup > troubleshoot > command prompt > regedit

when i click on "load hive", some "Boot (:X)" drive (500 MB) shows up, no 80 gig C drive, or the other volume. how can I fix this?

Out of curiosity, why did you manually partition 80gb to store win11?

Delete all partitions and let windows create what it needs..  altho i would not recommend using that drive for anything with windows 11.. as it will be full too soon. I wouldn't recommend using anything less than 1TB for win11

80GB is probably packed full when it's patched up already.. or before so it can't patch anymore..

with HDD it was needed for linux to have a small partition at the beginning of the disk to store the kernel, windows have never had this issue, except for windows 11 you would want GPT formated disk.  HDD's due to where on the spinning disk you put the partition they can be quicker at the first part of it. than the rear part.. so it could make sense to partition up a HDD.. but SSD's that is a total waste of time, and windows are good at creating everything it needs by pressing install on unpartitioned area.. as long as that's the only partition you see on the disk.

except for win 11.. GPT formated disk is also needed for disks larger than 2TB in any windows version.. as MBR don't support more than that.

yeah.. then you press windows update...

how much memory do you have installed?  it will suck in more storage depending on your ram amount too.

my system have 64GB ram.. and my page file are larger than your windows disk.
