Grim Dawn through steam or Gog client,how is better?

I want to buy Grim Dawn Definitive Edition,but i dont't know how to buy it,through Steam platform or GOG client platform.My only question is: If i make a host game,where there are more players on Steam or through GOG client?
On the steamcharts statistic,this game Grim Dawn have an average between 3022-4500 players.
On GOG client how many players are on this game Grim Dawn?I ask this,because i don't know what to do,to buy for Steam or for GOG client....and for GoG there are no statisc players like on steam.

Buy it where you want   GOG and Steam have crossplay for Grim Dawn so it doesn't matter. They have had Crossplay for many years for Grim Dawn.

 I'd go for Steam because most gamers already have it installed, but if you have the GOG client already installed too, then it doesn't matter.
