SSD not Working

After my old Sata SSD was almost filled to the brim i bought a 2TB M.2 SSD, my Bios shows it to me, my device manager shows it to me etc. but it doesn’t show up in my File App or in my Storage Manager, what do I do?

Are you on windows?

Open up Disk Management and allocate the storage.

I am on Windows and Disk Manager only shows me this

What motherboard do you have? What m.2 ssd did you get? What socket is the m.2 installed in on the motherboard and what SATA port is your old ssd plugged into?

I have the ROG Strix B760 Gaming Wifi, I bought the Samsung 980 Pro 2TB which is installed in the Slot on the backside of the motherboard and my old SSD is plugged into SataG_2

you could update your Bios, windows and drivers

you could restart, reset your bios at some point,

this should do it,

Worst case I'd disconnect the sata ssd and try to install Windows on the M.2 ssd which you should do anyway
