4070 Super help

hu7go

Hello!
I'm kind of a newbie when it comes to computers and recently got a 4070 super but when installing it I misunderstood the instructions and plugged in the 12pin adapter that comes with, into a single twinned cabled from my psu. After about a week of it being like this and experiencing multiple crashes I have reinstalled my old 2070 for the time being. After some more research I think I now have realized my mistake and plan on installing my 4070 super with two cables.

However, I'm wondering if having the 4070 super plugged in with only 1 cable for about a weeks time has damaged the GPU or if it should be safe to now do it properly.
If anyone has any insight or thoughts it would be much appreciated.

My PSU is a: NZXT C850 v1
And the GPU model is: ASUS GeForce RTX 4070 Super 12GB Dual OC

It should not be damaged at all. Should be good to use with correct amount of cables.

I edit my posts more often than not
