monitor screen cracked possible repair?

Mattcokkie
Go to solution Solved by Blasty Blosty,

If you cannot return the monitor, I would recommend just buying a new one. It may be possible to replace the panel, but it will be extremely difficult and tedious, you may even break it more along the way.

I recently got a new 27in monitor and loved it but it fell over onto my controller causing the screen to crack I remember a LTT video where they replaced the panel in a monitor. I don't know where to look to get a new panel or if it is possible or logical to fix it it is a LG 27MQ400 - BB.AAULMVM.

You could try RMAing the monitor.

English is not my first language, so please excuse any confusion or misunderstandings on my end.

I like to edit my posts a lot.

Panel alone is almost worth the full price of the monitor. Not really worth it sadly. How exactly did it fall over as these dont generally fall over unless you had a push over accident o.o

Sounds like they should be the one paying for it.

You shouldn't have to eat the cost of damage that your sibling has caused. They should buy you a new monitor when they caused it to break.

Guess they can't help out financially, as long as they know what they did was very bad for you
