What psu?

Send pics of the wattage table

What country?

Budget?

Usecases outside of gaming?

30-40$ gets you 4gb 570/580 and ~50$ gets you 8gb 570/580

~100$ gets you 1070(ti)/1080 and 2060s/2070s

120-150$ gets you 5700(xt)/6600(xt) maybe even 3060 12gb or 3070m if you are lucky

I am in the UK.
The cheapest option.

Gaming and homework.

All of them are bottleneck. Is that fine them being bottlenecked?

I have an i5-7400 (CPU). My monitor is a 1920 x 1080 (FHD (1080p)). My ram is 16GB (15.9GB Left)

I want to get a good GPU. But I can't find any good ones.

Any suggestions?

Budget ?

If you don't have any GPU and plan on gaming anything more demanding than GTA5 and CSGO, you'd better sell that old potato and replace everything, just sayin'

Want cheapest, get something used. As an example, I'm using a used RTX 2060 Super that I bought for MYR700 (~USD180), it plays Cyberpunk 2077 quite well at 1080p medium, 50+fps without DLSS/FSR/XeSS. And make sure the seller is reputable with nonzero number of real positive ratings.

New ones? RX 6600 is the best bet, usually sells around $200-250. Both that I mentioned use less than 200W of power.

What graphics card do you have now? What games are you trying to play?

The best new option is a RX 6600 for ~£200, it is a lot faster than the RX 6400/6500 XT, which already struggle with some games, even at 1080p.

Inevitable, but you may want to keep in mind that HUB have tested this and AMD cards usually have higher performance when there's a slow CPU.

If what you have now is integrated graphics and you just want to game, then pretty much anything is a massive upgrade, like the RX 570/580 or 2060 suggested above, though keep in mind you'll need a half-decent PSU and a reasonably sized case.

If you want to play the very latest AAA games at high/ultra settings with high FPS, then your CPU is just too slow, regardless of the graphics card.

What's the cheapest option?

the absolute bare minimum would be,

  from NVIDIA: 1060 6gb, 1650 Super, 1660

  from AMD: rx570, rx580, rx590

those would be around a 100USD used on ebay or marketplace or outlets like that. these do need external power but you can get away with adapter cables if the psu is a basic office pc model.

that's bare min but a budget and some more sys info would help a lot. like, what's the power rating for your PSU, how much are you willing to spend and is there any urgency to this?

Bottlenecks are garbage and can be ignored

Youll be upgrading the cpu anyways

Btw used b3/450 can be found for 40-50£ but ive seen em go as low as 30£ when i was looking around uk fb marketplace awhile

Also used 3600(x) are 50-60£ with 5600(x) being 70-90£

Your current mobo cpu combo is probs worth somewhere around 40-60£

Since you want cheapest an 8gb 570/580 for ~50£ will do just fine and theyre equivalent to a gtx 1060 6gb, if you undervolt the core to .86v and run at ~1100mhz core clock its a ~100w card so doesnt draw that much power when undervolted, youll get similar performance to stock as long as you overclock the vram
