Hello everyone,

I have been experiencing frametime spikes in Farming simulator 2022 for some time. The game run smooth but exactly every 60 seconds there is a stutter. I have only this issue in this game. Games such as Cyberpunk or CS2 run without problems. In benchmarks such as 3DMark Time Spy or Heaven are no stutters. Things i tried so far:

  • I tried moving the game to SSD but nothing changed
  • enabling/disabling Gsync/Vsync
  • launching PC in clean boot
  • lowering graphics settings
  • disabling DOCP in bios
  • all drivers are updated

PC specs:

GPU: 3060 Ti

CPU: R5 5600X

Motherboard: ASUS TUF Gaming B550-PLUS

RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3600Mhz CL18

SSD: Samsung 980 250GB

HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB

PSU:  650W Seasonic Focus

OS: Win 11

Monitor: 1080p 144Hz

Here are the screenshots from MSI Afterburner:

Use GPU-Z to verify the PCIe version of your setup. It should run a full 16x 4.0. Otherwise, that might be part of your issue.

Otherwise, ReBAR sometimes causes this issue, but you can validate all of that in GPU-Z.

It could also be exclusively because you're using an HDD. Buy an SSD of big enough size and/or try unplugging your secondary drive.

Here is screenshot of GPU-Z:

I tried disabling ReBar in bios but it did not solve the problem.

I also tried to play the game on my NVMe M.2 SSD, but it still stutters.

The HDD would be a problem with it simply being plugged in.

Looks like its only negotiating at x16 1.1? Might be part of the problem. Does your case use a riser or anything?

Hi,

I moved game to the SSD and unplugged the HDD but stutters still persists.

Yesterday i sent wrong picture of GPU-Z(when game was not running). This should be the correct one.

Do you have any other ideas what could be the problem? Do you think that clean install of window could solve the stuttering? I have already tried clean boot so any 3rd party software should not cause this. Could some window process that repeats every 60 seconds cause this?

Otherwise, i have no idea what is causing this or why it is happening only in this game.

Check the log.txt to see if the mod has any errors (remove it if so), and/or try to solution here (if using a > 60Hz monitor): https://forum.giants-software.com/viewtopic.php?t=183410

I have tried limiting it to 141 fps even to 60 fps but it still stuttered.

I would check CPU and GPU wattage to see if those are dipping. Otherwise, its possibly a UEFI or hardware issue if you've reinstalled already (other than the existence of an HDD).

Things like Vsync and any framerate capping I would disable, it can be a problem on its own in some games but also might let you see if there's huge swings in framerate that could be indicative of a C-state/P-state control issue.

A fresh install should've put your Power Plan into 'balanced', but try the Performance mode as well.

I have exactly the same problem, but in Battlefield 2042, only in it. My PC Config is similar to yours, but different. It all started when I activated AMD SAM, but now even after deactivating it in Bios, the stutters don't stop, they usually come between 1:30min and 2min.

PC Config:

Windows 11 Pro 23H2

Mobo: Biostar B550MH 3.0

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X

GPU: AsRock Challenger RX 7600 8GB

RAM: Asgard DDR4 (2x16) 3200Mhz

SSD: Adata Legend 710, 1TB, M.2 NVMe

HDD: Seagate 1TB ST1000VM002

Power Supply: Gigabyte P650B 650W 80 Plus Bronze

I recorded a video showing the exact moment of the stutter, but unfortunately I was unable to record the Overlay to show how the GPU, CPU, RAM, etc. are used.

From what I've read, your problems are similar to mine, the only difference being that your GPU is Nvidia, and mine is AMD, but we both activate ReBar at some point.

Things I've tried
. Disable ReBar
. Uninstall and Install updated drivers
. Switch the game from SSD to HD and vice versa
. Lower game graphics

My last idea is to update the Bios and go back to factory default settings, and maybe even a clean reinstall of Windows
