The Thermaltake Smart series is not very good but the GX2 is a different unit and way more solid.

The MSI MAG is a decent unit 馃檪聽 Most companies have some absolute garbage PSU's while they also have top tier 12 year warranty PSU's.

The MSI MAG comes with 5 year warranty as well, this is good for the price.

I recently made my budget 600 USD pc recently. Because of my low budget, I had to cheap out on my psu. I bought the Apevia jupiter bronze 600w psu. One thing I noticed is that if I turn off my psu, every one in a while, the psu will randomly turn on for less than a second, then turn off. My whole computer lights up, then goes back to being off. I think the psu switch may be faulty. I'm not sure if this is a hazard. Should I buy a new psu?

Yes, Buy a new PSU. Its on the E:Avoid list on the PSU tierlist.

Its a terrible PSU and should be replaced immediately.

Question: Why are you turning off the PSU with the button on the PSU that often?

Its because whenever the table shakes, the computer just randomly turns on. I think its a problem with my keyboard. Also, is it a hazard? Im broke and wont buy a new psu unless it will blow up.

Well.. Its on the :Avoid for a reason right? It can definitely be a bit blowyuppy and it can also destroy all your PC components with it. Or burn your house down.

I would not touch that PSU with a ten foot pole.

You would be surprised about the amount of carniage a malfunctioning PSU can cause. From just quietly dying over releasing large amounts of toxic smoke (also known as "magic smoke") to actually burning your computer to the ground.

Even a quiet failure can damage components and cause instability issues.

Please replace it as soon as possible, for the sake of your wallet (I'd imagine a computer to be more expensive than a PSU) and your health.

English is not my first language, so please excuse any confusion or misunderstandings on my end, also I like to edit my posts a lot.

yeah.. nah.....聽聽 That psu is sort of a pile of junk (possibly a fire hazard as well).... and when it does blow up (and it will).聽聽聽 There is more than likely chance that it will take a motherboard / cpu / SSD ...video card... with it maybe 1 component maybe 2 or maybe all of them.

I know you are broke but you would be 'more broke' if your entire machine went out with the PSU.

You can of course use it at your own risk.聽

How long ago did you purchase this PSU?

Don't me mad at me. Its not my fault the PSU is garbage. I'm just trying to not have your entire computer go bust or your house burn down.

The Thermaltake Toughpower GX2 80+ Gold 600W is a decent entry level PSU.

This MSI MAG ABN model is also pretty decent. Its on sale currently.

You can save 10 bucks by going with the 550w model.
