Device Encryption OR Bitlocker ?

Poinkachu

My friend have a Windows 10 Pro PC pre-Secure Boot being mandatory (Windows installed while Secure Boot option in BIOS turned off).

The Secure Boot option also still off now (He's willing to turn it on if needed of course). He also doesn't use Microsoft Account.

The PC has 3 Physical Drives in total.

1x NVME parittioned into C: & D:

2x SATA SSD

Which is better to use for that scenario, Automatically encrypt all partition by turning on Device Encryption through Windows Settings, or Turning on Bitlocker for each partition manually ?

If possible he would like for the Bitlocked partitions to auto-unlock on Logon.

Sorry for taking you guys' time with this kinda question, I never mess around with bitlocker so I thought to ask the forum first to avoid borking my friend's PC. And thank you in advance if you decide to reply.
