My ryzen 5600x is dropping frequency

Hi I encounter weird issue with my CPU and can't figure it out, so basically why playing cs2 randomly my core speeds drops to 500mhz on all cores (once even 40mhz) and hits 100% utilization. I changed motherboards graphic cards ram storage drives and nothing changed. It all started after cs2 was out of beta. Even sometimes it made my pc crash to the point I have to forced bios reset. The weird thing is that after CPU hits 30% utilization, it starts to drop speeds. I have to mention it that while I stress test it seems to be ok (update While stressing, it will also drop speeds)

Figure out what sensors are TMPIN6 and 8 then report back, you have something getting hot. It may be something with the game though. Test with another source engine title.

Id suspect vrms considering everything else is cold

If you cant find what tmpin6 and 8 are just get physical with the board and touch it to check whats getting hot, dont be surprised if you get burned by the vrm cause thats the only thing id suspect getting hot here

If its the vrm just point a fan at it, and if that doesnt help just swap the board out entirely, should be worth somewhere around 30-40$ to resell and you should be able to buy much better used midranger b3/450 like the pro4/steel legend, gaming plus/tomahawk, aorus elite/pro, strix -f, etc. For around 50$

First things first, use HWInfo or Ryzen Master for reading the sensor data, HWMonitor like you're using is pretty infamous for giving false readings, so it could be reading some frequencies or temperatures wrong. Also, HWInfo specifically will give more info about what limits the CPU is running into to limit performance.

It might be that on my last mb everything was more stable, I had b450 steel legend

vrms are not hot, on my other pc with 7600x vrms are hot to the touch but on my 5600x build are like 20 degrees Celsius
