Thunderbolt Display

So, I have a thunderbolt display, and I'm upgrading my Mac to a custom built pc, and my new GPU doesn't have a TB port, but my display doesn't connect to anything else than TB.

I was thinking in buying a mobo that has TB, but someone told me it wouldn't be picking the signal from my GPU, so my gaming would suck.

I wanted to know if that's true, if so what are the possible solutions?

If your GPU has displayport you can use it. It's basically the same thing.

All you need is a displayport to mini displayport cable.

what monitor do you have that only connects via thunderbolt?

All you need is a displayport to mini displayport cable.

So apparently DisplayPort devices will work with Thunderbolt, but Thunderbolt devices will not work with DisplayPort
