Also new am4 is overpriced, go for a 12600k(f) + z690 if you wanna buy new cause itll obliterate even the 5800x let alone a 5600x

 

If you wanna stick with am4 buy a used b3/450 for ~50$ and a used 5700x/5800x for 120-150$

4060 will struggle. Some new 2023 games the 4060 struggled to reach 60fs at 1080p. Might get away with faking frames in a game that has DLSS and Frame Gen but as a whole not enough. 4070 is the lowest anyone should go in this NVIDIA generation if it's for playing games. AMD exists for this exact reason, to do what NVIDIA isn't willing to and force you to upgrade early.

you do not need a 40 series card, even for video editing a 6700 xt should be the same and be better at gaming

At least buy the 16gb version if you have to go with the 4060, and a 550 w psu might struggle so buy a 650w, and check on the internet what psu works best with your gpu to reduce coil whine.

the 4060 ti is pretty bad price to preformance but if you want a nividia then you could buy it (or get a 3070 12gb if you find it cheaper) btw is there any specifik reason for going with nividia (just out of curiosity)

I will be needing all of the features that they offer with 40 series cards and am not willing to buy used.

for video editing? or do you mean the software is your preference? And are you doing more than just video editing and gaming?

And while I know that a 4060 won’t be able to play great with ray tracing, I would still like to have the option.
