Go to solution Solved by SImoHayha,

Im confused about your build with this amount of money 1000 CAD you can get a much more effective build for video editing. + a gaming GPU which would improve video editing. You can get windows 11 for free, you don't need to pay for it. Since you can run it w/o paying for it. Since you can download it from Microsoft for free, also you can research more into this

Lets retweak this....

this is what I built for 972$.

As for the monitor I would go some place in store and find a few that are possibly on sale due to extra Xmas stock find one that is 100hz or more that's just me though or you can stick with the 75hz

A ergonmic keyboard and mouse shouldn't be 80$ IMO. Unless it's really good. You can find plenty of ergnomical keyboards + mice combos for 30$ or 40$ By Logitech.

as for the speakers? You could find some cheapo ones at bestbuy for 20$ or if you already have like a soundbar not sure if you do you can connect your PC to use the soundbar instead.

Budget (including currency): The cheapest I can go without changing too much.

Country: Canada

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Office work, and video editing, lot's of tabs.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I am not going AMD, and need the: 1030, 27" monitor (model or brand is not important), Fractal North, and need the accessories (keyboard, mouse, speakers, webcam, and cable.)

I built this on PC Part Picker, but couldn't make it cheaper. I haven't built a PC so don't now if some of my parts are over the top.

Why are you buying a 750W PSU for a build with an i3 and a GT 1030?

Why spend 25 bucks on an extra fan for such a low-powered build, especially when you have a case with decent air flow and two included fans?

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

If your goal is to have a centerpiece, I'd say ditch the components and just have the fractal north and some RGB fans with a lil power plug.

If you'd like to have it be more than a centerpiece:

https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/bRQWPF

(Didn't include peripherals bc they are very subjective to preferences)

I was getting that PSU because I know corsair is a good brand. I would get the extra fan because I would put the two fans at the front and use the NZXT fan for the fan on the back.

Not really how things work. But even so, you're throwing money away buying a 750W unit for such modest parts.

Not needed.

Even if it were, that's overpriced for a simple 120mm fan.

It probably feels like one because I have no idea what I'm doing, when it comes to picking parts.

Ok, I'll look into a 300w psu (my wattage is 223w), and not get the fan. If I build it and it has very hot temps i'll get a cheaper pwm fan.

300W units don't really exist (except in office prebuilts). Besides, you never want to use all the wattage your PSU can produce. Somewhere in the area of 60-70% is best.

Get something solid in the 500-550W range and you will also have some headroom for upgrading your wretched GPU.

Ok, I'm only getting a 1030 because it's better than integrated graphics. It's not a very tasking video editing program.
